Why this coaxial
A 28 mm mylar balanced dome tweeter sits on the axis of the cone. One speaker, one hole, one pair of wires.
Injection PP, grey, rubber edge. Injection-moulded polypropylene does not soften with damp or heat, and the rubber edge keeps working for years inside a door.
High sensitivity: it plays loud even from the head unit, and with an amplifier it takes 100 W RMS continuous per speaker.
5.25" / 13.5 cm, 4 ohm. In many cars it drops straight into the factory location.

Complete the system
Before you install it
- Measure the hole and the depth first. A coaxial is deeper than a plain woofer, because the tweeter sits above the cone. Check the 5.25" cut-out and the free space behind the panel before you order.
- Do not go below 4 ohm per channel. Two speakers in parallel on one channel give 2 ohm: most head units and small amplifiers will heat up or go into protection.
- With a powerful amplifier, use a high-pass filter. Cut below 120 Hz and leave the bass to a subwoofer.
- Respect the polarity. Wiring both speakers in phase changes more than any setting on the head unit.
